1. Email PilotWire support
To request deletion of your PilotWire account and associated personal data, email support@pilotwire.net. PilotWire LLC handles these requests through its support team.
Start an account-deletion request
Use the button to open a draft with the subject and suggested information already included.
Email deletion requestThis opens your email app. Review and send the email to submit your request; clicking the button does not send it or delete anything.
If you use webmail or the button does not open an email app, create a new message to support@pilotwire.net with the subject PilotWire account and data deletion request and include the information below.
Want to keep your account? You can instead email a request to delete specific personal data. Explain which information you want removed. Some data is necessary for a feature or must be retained for a legitimate reason; support will explain any limitations.
2. Tell us which account or data
- The email address associated with your PilotWire account.
- Your name and, if applicable, the company or workspace involved.
- Whether you want your entire account and associated personal data deleted, or only particular information.
- For a data-only request, a short description of the information and relevant record, such as a document title or job/invoice reference. Do not include full financial-account details.
Send from your registered email address if you can. If you no longer have access to it, tell us that in the request; you can still start the process. We may need another proportionate way to verify your identity and authority.
3. Review, verification, and confirmation
- Support reviews your request. We identify the account, clarify the scope if needed, and explain any verification required.
- We explain relevant dependencies. If your account is tied to company ownership, active work, transactions, or records subject to a legal obligation, support will explain what needs coordination and which information may need to be retained. You can submit a request without first completing those steps.
- The request is processed. Eligible associated personal data is deleted or de-identified, account access is ended for an account-deletion request, and relevant service-provider handling is reviewed. Disabling sign-in alone is not account deletion.
- We confirm the outcome. Support explains completion, any information retained and the reason, and any follow-up available to you.
Processing time depends on verification, the scope of the request, and any applicable requirements. Support will explain the expected next steps for your case. Reply to the same email thread to ask about progress.
4. What the request covers
An account-deletion request covers your PilotWire account and its associated personal data, subject to the limited retention reasons below. Depending on the information held, this includes:
- Personal account/profile and contact information, authentication/session data, and associated device or push-registration identifiers.
- Personal uploads, credential information, and other personal content associated with the account that do not need to be retained for a legitimate reason.
- Reported availability/location information associated with you, subject to identity and company-record verification where applicable.
You can also stop availability sharing from that feature to remove its stored current point. Removing the app, signing out, or being removed from a company roster is not a substitute for requesting deletion of your PilotWire account and associated data.
5. Records that may need to be retained
Some information may need to remain for a specific legal, accounting, transaction-reconciliation, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purpose. Examples include invoice and payment/payout records, relevant job or qualification evidence, audit/security records, and a limited record of the privacy request.
Shared company records are not automatically excluded from deletion. Retention of personal information must have an applicable reason; information that no longer needs to identify you can be deleted or de-identified. Stripe and other providers may separately have legal duties to retain information they process.
There is no single retention period for all records. Ask support for the categories relevant to your request, why they are needed, and the applicable period or criteria for determining it, including any backup or provider-held copies. Read the privacy policy's retention and deletion section for more detail.
6. Need help or want a review?
If you cannot access your account, have trouble submitting a request, or disagree with an outcome, email support@pilotwire.net. Identify the previous request if there is one and explain the help or review you need. Do not include passwords or security codes.
